For Authors
Hey there! Congrats on publishing your book. We love working with authors that fit into the theme of our store.
Please check the following information and then fill out the Author Request Form (link found at the bottom) and we will be in touch with you ASAP.
For consideration of books on consignment the following rules apply:
The book must be professionally designed and bound to include title & author on the cover
The book must be written and marketed as a romance (any sub genres is fine)
The book price needs to be on par with typical books in the industry
The book must have an ISBN
If you feel your book meets the criteria above please note the following of our consignment policies should we agree to carry your book in our store:
Our standard commission agreement for consignment is 60/40 (titles sold pay out at 60% of retail price to you)
We do our consignment agreements for 4 months and will renew each consignment agreement based upon sales each 4 month period
We ask that you provide at minimum of 3 copies of each book you wish for us to carry up to a maxium of 5 copies per book.
All books carried instore will need to be restocked as needed. It is the authors responsibility to check stock status and restock if needed.
All consignment agreements are paid out at the end of each consignment agreement. Monthly reports will be provided for your tracking purposes.
Book sales are reviewed every 4 months. If sales are low we may choose to discontinue carrying that book in store and ask you to pick up any remaining copies within 30 days and terminate the agreement for any books with low sales.
Any books not picked up within 30 days will become the property of Morally Gray Bookstore and will be donated.
We love to support local authors so we give priority to anyone living in Newnan or the surrounding area.
You are responsible for marketing your book and promoting that it is available in our bookstore on all platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Websites and any other social media outlet.
If your book is distributed by Ingram (regular discount and is returnable) please let us know if that is your preference for stocking your book
